An award-winning new home builder, Eric Hymowitz is also active in philanthropic undertakings. Eric Hymowitz, through his company, ROC Homes, supports the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).
Through research, patient services, and more, PanCAN strives to combat the world’s toughest cancer, pancreatic cancer, which has a 91 percent mortality rate within five years. The organization has assisted many people, including Mary Fox, who was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in February 2018. She approached the PanCan Patient Central program and was able to obtain information regarding other treatment alternatives such as precision medicine.
A molecular profiling test can reveal biological indicators in a tumor that can guide a precision medicine course of action. Mrs. Fox then enrolled in PanCAN’s Know Your Tumor precision medicine service. She also linked with the nonprofit’s Know Your Tumor Careline for assistance in dealing with issues regarding molecularly targeted treatments. A type of targeted therapy known as PARP inhibitor has stabilized her tumors, and she is showing signs of improvement. To know more about PanCAN and how you can help, visit: http://www.pancan.org.
A successful real estate executive, Eric Hymowitz values philanthropy and has supported various nonprofit organizations. Eric Hymowitz is the owner and president of awarding-winning new home construction company ROC Homes, based in Houston, Texas.
ROC Homes was founded in 2002 to provide Houston residents with quality and affordable homes. The company has survived the many highs and lows of the Houston home sales market and has emerged prosperous. ROC underwent three different variations until it finally found the right combination in terms of pricing, features, and size. With the right formula, the company was able to build and sell 24 homes in under 9 months.
The company’s success is attributed to its expertise in building “first-floor living” townhomes where the most used rooms, the dining, family, and kitchen, are on the first floor instead of the second floor of typical townhouses that are three and four stories high. With a strong construction and sales setup, ROC has enjoyed strong support from lending institutions regardless of the climate of the Houston home market.
