ROC Homes Gives Back to the Community

Serving ROC Homes as owner and president, accomplished home-building executive Eric Hymowitz has transformed ROC Homes into an award-winning company in Houston. As a philanthropist committed to giving back, Eric Hymowitz has implemented a novel way of letting ROC homeowners support their community.

In April 2018, ROC Homes kicked off a campaign that provided its customers with a way to donate to a favorite charity. Mr. Hymowitz announced that ROC Homes would contribute $1,000 for every home unit purchased to a charity that the buyer chooses. In this way, funds were directed to help various nonprofits in the Houston metro area.

According to Mr. Hymowitz, his clients are like family to him, since the homes built by ROC are created for families. The campaign is ROC’s way of getting to know it customers better. It affords the company the opportunity to understand what is important to them, and ROC is proud to take part in it.

ROC Homes has been serving the Houston community since 2002.

Greater Houston Builders Association Scholarship Program

An accomplished construction management professional, Eric Hymowitz brings three decades of experience to his position as the president of ROC Homes in Houston, Texas. An active member of the homebuilding industry, Eric Hymowitz belongs to professional organizations such as the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA).

Founded more than 75 years ago, GHBA brings together members of the remodeling, homebuilding, and development industries from 11 counties across the wider Houston area. The fourth-largest home building association in the country, the group serves its more than 1,700 member-companies through a combination of professional development programs, educational opportunities, and advocacy for the industry at the local and state levels. GHBA also maintains community-outreach initiatives such as its scholarship program.

Open to children of all employees of GHBA member-companies, the GHBA Scholarship Program is administered by the GHBA Associate Council and provides funds to students planning to pursue or currently pursuing higher education. The scholarships are funded by tax-deductible donations, with every dollar donated going toward scholarship awards. In addition to the potential tax benefits, donors are recognized in Houston Builder magazine.
